Drum major's cane, silver-plated brass pommel, chased on the top, in the center, with a rooster (looking like an eagle), its legs resting on two lictor beams, a triangular level, two crossed hands and, in a banner, the motto: "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE" surrounded by a laurel wreath, below the inscription: "GARDE NATIONALE", on the lower part two rings for attaching the cords; varnished wooden rod; silver-plated metal end with two small rings, finished with an iron stinger; length 126.5 cm. (Missing cords).
