Charles DURON (1814 - 1872) - Garter bracelet in 750th gold and 925th silver, decorated with diamond-studded crosses on a royal blue guilloché enamel ground evoking an upholstery pattern. The middle simulates a buckle adorned with a large motif set with a drop of cushion-cut diamonds, underlined by a line of roses, the ribbon finished with a scalloped motif adorned with four mobile aiguillettes. Invisible ratchet clasp. Goldsmith's hallmark. Boar's head and rhinoceros head hallmarks. Length: 17 cm Gross weight: 95 g (one small rose missing, a few small enamel chips, but very good overall condition) Charles DURON (1814-1872), a goldsmith and jeweler who apprenticed with Jules Chaise, enjoyed immense success throughout his career. Setting up on his own in 1845, his first creations combined inventiveness and technical perfection, and were recognized at the 1855 Exposition Universelle in Paris, where he received a first-class medal for his "well-made jewelry; enamel bracelets inlaid with roses, remarkable for their finish...". Cut-out ivory plaque edged, engraved characters meaning "to treat according to the statutes" (jurisconsult). Red suspension cord with tassel and gold, red and green silk passementerie bow. Jaeger" shotgun, South Germany or Bavaria circa 1830, indirect percussion system. Barrel rifled with sides, out of spangled damasks, trimmings out of silver with low title (for solidity). Stock carved with the leafy god of the forest (Nordic legends), embellished with a notepad box (leather or parchment discs used to surround the bullet to force it into the rifling of the barrel). The butt cheek (walnut) is carved with a stag, and the grips are carved with scales and acanthus leaves along the length of the barrel, ending in a silver mouthpiece. Fine engraving of a deer quenching its thirst at a spring on the trigger guard. Counter plate depicting roosters. In the Empire or Restoration style. Very fine chased lock, the striker representing a dragon, damascened in gold and silver (the tail a snake) the mechanism of protection of the chimney is assembled with spring with roller (roulette) and represents a snake. At the back, a boar's head in gold and silver damascene. The internal mechanism is in perfect condition and the parts are mirror polished. Streicher trigger system, with adjustable trigger using the rear screw and lever. Original ramrod with silver truncated end cap. France: Chasseur à Cheval officer's saber. Gilded brass mounting of the type used by officers of the Chasseurs à Cheval de la Garde Impériale, long cap in lion-head stock, watermarked leather handle, curvilinear diamond-shaped mounts stamped with a head of Athena. Curved blade, decorated and blued in thirds, potentially changed at the fall of the Empire (rivet knob hammered and not regular). Brass two-ring scabbard with two squared bracelets. Empire - Restoration. Oxidation.

France: Sabre de Sapeur de la Garde Impériale, from the Manufacture de Klingenthal, circa 1810. Mounted in cast gilt bronze, pommel with howling rooster, the crest with sandblasted finish, flared spindle, cruise with lion's head central knot and two straight quillons ending in a lion's head. Strong white blade with small stains, saw-toothed back, with maker's mark on heel "Coulaux Frères" on one side, "à Klingenthal" (partly faded) on the other side. Marks illegible. Gap between hilt and grip. Slight oxidation. No scabbard. First Empire.

Taza sword Onion pommel. Later wooden spindle. Wrought iron mounting, jointed bow guard and two long straight quillons. Full, hemmed shell. Long, thin blade with gutter at the heel, with remnants of the "TOMAS" inscription. 17th century. Length 120 cm. A.B.E. (composite reassembly)

Sapper's sword Bronze cock's head handle, with two downward curved quillons. Blade with blunt back. Leather scabbard with two brass fittings. Late 18th - early 19th century. A.B.E.
