Rare gilt bronze and black patina bronze bust clock featuring Athena, in profile, wearing her cuirass adorned with a winged Gorgon head. The dial, with Roman numerals, is inscribed in her warrior-goddess helmet. It stands on a gilded bronze base on four chased toupie feet. Empire period. MAD PARIS & ROLEX - A DLC “Diamond Like Carbon” self winding chronograph, custom Made MAD Paris & Rolex, circa 2010 With presentation case, certificate, booklet, tags and an extra link in DLC Custom-made luxury watches have become a very strong trend in the collector's watch market in recent years, particularly among strong players such as MAD Paris, as shown by our two examples that were custom-made (lot 38 and lot 39). As we can see, custom made work requires dexterity and is often associated with iconic models, such as the Rolex Daytona. They give them a new life, updating them to suit contemporary tastes while retaining what makes them so coveted in the first place. More than that, good personalization is seeing by the use of techniques such as the one seen on the model in DLC (Lot 38), the second being just a reinterpretation of the dial (lot 39). Just note that these modifications are not recognized as being of Rolex manufacture, so there will be no service possible for these watches at Rolex SA. If MAD Paris is known for its custom-made watches, it’s easy to recognize the dexterity of the work in the treatment of the case and this reinterpretation of a Swiss haute horlogerie standard with a fashionable twist.

Gilt bronze and black patina bronze "au bon sauvage" clock depicting a young woman in a feathered skirt, wearing the dial on her head, topped with a bow, in chased gilt bronze and white enamel with Arabic numerals. Her arms are adorned with bracelets and her head is topped with feathers. It stands on an oval-shaped base with claw feet, in gilt bronze with putti and a covered vase. Mid 19th century. Height: 46 cm - Width: 22.9 cm - Depth: 13 cm. (Probably missing an element). A preparatory drawing, deposited in 1807 by the bronze-maker Croutelle, is in the Bibliothèque nationale in Paris. Several identical examples are known, including one from the former Pascal Izarn collection.

Rare yellow gold (750) and silver (925) neckwatch in the shape of a beetle, finely chased and partly enameled. The reverse features naturalistic decoration of the insect's belly and folded legs. The wings and head are enameled orange-brown and black, and punctuated with rose-cut diamonds. The two wings form a dial cover, opening with a push-button to reveal the chased case enamelled with black fillets. White enamel dial with black Roman numeral hour markers.
