1 bottle Château Cheval Blanc, 1947, Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux (France). Red wine. 75 cl. See images to check the condition of the label and bottle. The 1947 vintage of Château Cheval is one of the Bordeaux best valued by collectors and wine lovers. The interest in this vintage is largely due to the weather conditions of 1947. The summer heat and September rains favored an excellent ripening of the grapes. The Château Cheval Blanc winery is located in Saint-Émilion, in the Bordeaux wine region. Its wine is one of only two to receive the highest ranking, Premier Grand Cru Classé (A), in the 1955 Saint Emilion Wine Classification, along with Château Ausone. The origin of the winery dates back to 1832, when Château Figeac sold 15 hectares of land to Mr. Laussac-Fourcaud. A few years later its wines would achieve international renown when they were awarded medals at the Universal Exhibitions of London and Paris in 1862 and 1867, medals still highlighted on their labels. The vineyard is considered to have three main qualities: one third Pomerol, as it is located on the border; one third Graves as the soil is gravelly; and the remaining third typical of Saint Emilion. The vineyard area covers 41 hectares, with 37 of them planted with an unusual composition of grape varieties: 57% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot and small parcels of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. Average annual production is 6,000 cases of the Grand Vin, and 2,500 cases of the second wine, Le Petit Cheval. **The images in each lot are the actual images of the object and are therefore part of the cataloging. 1 bottle of Vega Sicilia "Unico" 1996. Ribera del Duero. Spain. Red wine. Nº 041524. 75 cl. Level A. Parker Score: 96/100. See images to check the condition of the label. Provenance: Private collector. Stored in private cellar with controlled temperature and humidity. The "Único" is Vega Sicilia's benchmark. A wine in which the qualities of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon are perfectly blended in different proportions. Each one of them contributes, in each vintage, a differentiating element that makes it great. After its time in wood, it ages in the bottle to complete a complex and long ageing process. Under normal conditions it will spend 6 years in wood and three in the bottle. The different elements involved in its elaboration are modelled and moulded in search of the master line that has guided the wine. The "Único" remains faithful to a clear and well-defined style, an inimitable character and style; elegance, firmness and an ageing capacity only within the reach of a few wines in the world. Vega Sicilia is one of Spain's most emblematic wineries and a world reference in the production of high quality wines. Its importance and strength in the wine market are undeniable and are based on a rich history, an unwavering dedication to excellence and a firm oenological identity. Founded in 1864 in the Ribera del Duero region, Vega Sicilia has gone through more than a century and a half of ups and downs in the wine industry. However, its commitment to quality has never wavered. Its wines, particularly the iconic "Único", are renowned for their unique character and ability to age exceptionally well. The winery has maintained limited production and meticulous attention to detail, which has helped to cement its reputation as one of the world's great wine producers. Vega Sicilia has also managed to maintain its status in the global market due to its focus on Spanish winemaking tradition, combining indigenous varieties such as Tempranillo with modern winemaking techniques. This combination of old and new has allowed its wines to express the richness of the land and the region, while remaining relevant in a constantly evolving market. Vega Sicilia's strength in the market is reflected in the recognition of its wines which continue to be highly valued and sought after by both collectors and wine lovers around the world. **The images in each lot are the actual images of the object and are therefore part of the cataloging.
