DAMAS, Rare small pair of shelved cupboards in Damascus-style composite fillet marquetry, mother-of-pearl inlays, horn and turned wood moucharabieh, opening with two leaves, one revealing an interior with inlaid bottom, lined with two shelves, the second revealing a double three-panel screen, each leaf with three reserves, probably intended to insert verses from the Qur'an and serve as a prayer cupboard.
