Jacques COQUILLAY (born in 1935) Horse at the walk, right foreleg raised Bronze with a reddish brown patina. Bears the monogram JC and the number 1/8 on the terrace. Bears the mark of the founder A VALSUANI CIRE PERDUE. H.20 cm, terrace W. 17 x D.7 cm, rests on a natural wood base H. 5 cm Jacques Coquillay trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Tours and then in Paris with Marcel Gimond. He also attended the workshops of Hubert Yencesse and Raymond Corbin. A retrospective exhibition was dedicated to him at the Salon d'Automne in 1992.
