These busts and heads are an opportunity for the sculptor to study with delicate veracity the behaviour and character of the young girl. The art critic Waldemar George remarked that Osouf's busts of young girls have the sinuous smile of the Angel of Rheims, that 'vincian' smile before the letter which is one of the emblems of French culture.
