FANG BOX, Gabon Medium-hard wood with brown patina, leather. H. 23,5 D. 24 cm Rare Fang box with a wooden base and lid, the cylindrical body of the box made of bound antelope leather. This type of reliquary box made of wood and leather, and not of bark, is described by the pastor Fernand Grébert in his book Au Gabon (Société des missions évangéliques, Paris, 1928).
