Description
A flat desk inlaid with satinwood quartefoil in violet wood friezes; it is of a moving shape and opens with three drawers in the waist, one of which is large in the centre, and rests on arched legs. Ornamentation of finely chased and gilded bronze such as corbin, spandrels, rocaille falls, draw handles and sabots. Signature of Paul Sormani rue Charlot on the lock. Last third of the 19th century (one handle missing, wear to the gilding of the corbin). Havana leather top (stains). H: 75-W: 138-D: 81 cm
