A siliceous ceramic "tabak" dish decorated with a blue mandorla surrounded by carnations and tulips, in beautiful polychrome and red slip on a white background.
A frieze of stylized "clouds and rocks" on the rim. On the reverse side, circles and stylized tulips in cobalt blue.
Iznik, Ottoman Turkey, late 16th century, early 17th century.

Two suspension holes, one of which is on the rim.
