JAPON XIXe SIÈCLE, PÉRIODE MEIJI (1868-1912)
Small silver vermeil cardholder on ivory with brown leather interior, decorated with two scenes; on one side, a deity on a turtle above the waves looking towards two cranes among clouds; on the other side, a theatre actor sitting on a stage in front of a candle and a spider weaving its web. Two-sided decoration in sentoku and shakudo of a samurai on a turtle, a stork, a spider and objects of furniture in ira and taka maki-e.
