JAPON XIXE SIECLE
A lacquered wooden cabinet with gilded and chiselled fittings, opening on the front with two doors and a drawer, decorated in hira and takamaki-e, gold, silver and polychrome, with peonies among waterfalls and streams, the sides decorated with maple trees at the water's edge, the upper part showing cranes in flight near a pine tree. The doors reveal six small drawers decorated with butterflies and flowers.
