Japon milieu XXe siècle
Set of three rectangular boxes, one with red, green and yellow lacquered decoration of peony flowers in light relief; the other two matched to form a suzuribako and a small document box, in dark brown lacquer or resin evoking wood, with moulded decoration, one of bird and bamboo, the other of bird and lotus.
