An eight-leaf Coromandel lacquer screen decorated with a central panel on one side with a scene of a palace reception, a mandarin surrounded by his servants, seated watching dancing girls, while musicians play, women practicing go under a kiosk, young women and scholars walking under trees, the upper part and sides with objects of scholars, the lower part with shishi and qilong, the other side decorated with scholars under trees by the river and a bridge, rocks in the upper part, and flowering bouquets in the lower part, both sides decorated with lotus friezes in the border.
