Large-format orthodox icon with New Testament Trinity. Russian, Vetka, 19th century. Egg Tempera on wood panel, with golden background. Representation of the Holy Trinity of the New Testament or Western type. In the center the representation of the Trinity, on the left God the Father and on the right Jesus Christ, between them the globe with the tools of the Passion, above the Holy Spirit. God the Father and Christ are enthroned on four-winged cherubim. The middle medallion is decorated by Seraphim on a blue background. At the edge of the picture nine archangels, including Michael, Raphael and Gabriel and selected saints. Small retouchings, otherwise intact.
