Albarelle

Sultanabad, early 14th century A siliceous ceramic vessel with a curved body, a carinated shoulder and a cylindrical neck, painted with cobalt-blue and black glazes on a white slip and under a transparent glaze: the body is decorated with foliage around an almond-shaped motif alternating with stripes. This decoration is repeated on the neck. The base and the inside of the neck are decorated with semis. Some damage and restoration to the decoration.
