Iran, Sultanabad, 14th century
A siliceous ceramic pedestal bowl with glazed decoration in cobalt, aubergine and manganese under a transparent glaze. The inner walls are decorated with a four-pointed radiating motif, arabesques and stylised bouquets. The outer walls are striated.
