1920 FORD T RUNABOUT

Assembled in Bordeaux Nice restoration, completed some years ago Good mechanical functioning French registration title Chassis n° 5319389 Fifteen million units sold in nineteen years: these figures are still impressive today. They reflect the success of the Ford T, launched in 1908 and based on a simple and robust design. High on its legs and equipped with a soft suspension, the Ford T was perfectly adapted to the traffic conditions in the United States, where tracks and sunken roads awaited the motorist as soon as he left the city. The Ford T was also very successful in France. In order to meet this demand, Henri Depasse, the first Ford importer in France, created an assembly plant in Bordeaux in 1913. The example we present has been restored about 40 years ago and is today in a good state of preservation. It presents an elegant two-tone black and dark green color associated with a black upholstery and hood. Mr. Guyou bought it in June 1997 from the grandson of the Ford importer in Bordeaux. He then undertook a complete rebuilding of the engine. This car works perfectly today, used regularly and appreciated by the majority of passerbys at every turn of the wheel. Carefully maintained and stored in a dry place, this very well preserved car is now offered at an attractive price. This charming pre-war car deserves the greatest attention.
