Imposante Kaminuhr
Bronze/gilt. Case in the form of a rectangular, lying pedestal over shell-shaped feet. The front of the base is richly decorated with scrollwork. Above it forms a naturalistically designed zone with an elegantly dressed scholar leaning against a tree stump with a book in his hand. Metal dial with Roman hour numerals. Glass missing, otherwise good condition. Not tested for accuracy. France, ca. 1820. h ca. 58 cm
