First edition printed on laid paper (only the 2nd issue is numbered); the rare and last issue of this journal is on glossy paper (issue to be unfolded completely in 10 parts). Rich iconography including lithographs or original woodcuts, some compositions enhanced with stencil. In 1915 Amédée Ozenfant founded the magazine "L'Élan". For two years, it published in Paris the works of artists that the pre-war cubist magazines had made known, and who were then at the front or in the rear : Derain, Dunoyer de Segonzac, Laboureur, La Fresnaye, Lhote, Metzinger, Picasso, Severini and some others.
