(spine uniformly faded, half-title slightly browned). First edition. 1/300 copies on Arches laid paper, the only large paper. Enriched with a letter to Christian Beck, Belgian writer and poet (1879-1916): "But what have you become / my dear Beck / André Gide". André Gide's masterpiece novel, "L'Immoraliste", published in May 1902, constitutes a major moment in his career / IDEM. Dindiki. Mascot of the writer, this Bosman's potto was adopted during his trip to Congo; it died in his hands before his return to France, and the pages he dedicates to it are very moving.
