History of Bass Bassina Boulou. Drawings by Elisabeth Ivanovsky. P., Desclée de Brouwer, [1936], 8°, 77 pp. (boards and cuts rubbed, corners slightly dulled, edges finely spotted, some traces of use). Elisabeth Ivanovsky, born in Chisinau (Moldavia) in 1910, died in 2006 at the age of 95. Painter, watercolorist, graphic artist. Trained at the Chisinau Art School and then in Bucharest. From 1932 to 1935, training in illustration and decoration at La Cambre in Brussels. Widow of the poet René Meurant, she illustrated countless children's books, designed theatre costumes, sets and posters... (Russian Book Art, 1904-2005, Brussels, 2006, p. 173).
