TWO BODY FRONT BRIGHT FRONTIER KITCHEN, early 17th c., in carved walnut. Normandy, France. Very good condition. 247 x 60 x 66 cm. Splendid two parts sideboard with a very Renaissance character by its carved decoration. Broken pediment with an architectural niche in the center flanked by two mermaids carved in high relief. The sides of the pediment are topped by two figures in high relief. The doors of the upper part of the mantel are decorated with allegories of Justice and Strength, framed by laurel wreaths. The crosspieces are carved with cherubs' heads and drapery motifs, as are the drawers. Upright decorated with a fall of fruits, symbol of abundance.
