Attributed to GIUSEPPE PARVIS (1831-1909) CURIOUS DESKTOP "A L'EGYPTIENNE", double sided, in black and gold lacquered wood with carved and engraved neo-Egyptian scenes of offerings, hieroglyphs, vultures with spread wings, lotus flowers, heads and profiles with headdresses.... opening by two doors on each side. The uprights in detached column, the base decorated with heads of winged ibis resting on longrines. The top covered with black leather. Early 20th century (cracks). Height 77.5 cm Width 126 cm Depth 76 cm Provenance: Olivier d'Ythurbide et Associés Gallery in Saint Ouen in 2014.
