Court scene in the Safavid style by Ali Isfarjani Iran, dated 1943-44 Very large composition, gouache on paper, representing a court scene inscribed in an oval: a royal couple seated on a throne relaxes while drinking from a long bottle, while courtiers and musicians are animated on the terrace in front of them. Signed at the bottom Ali Isfarjani and dated 1322H./1943-44. Size: 65 x 49 cm This very large Iranian composition is signed by the master Ali Isfarjani (or Esfarjani), some of whose works are now in the Negarestan Museum and Garden in Tehran, displayed in the Asfarjani Hall.
