Barbucci Alessandro/Ekhö. Original production drawing of the album T2 "Paris Empire", illustrating the beautiful Yumma (Grace Lumumba). Work published in the deluxe edition. Format A4 Born in Genoa in 1973, Alessandro Barbucci began his career at a very young age, joining the Walt Disney Company Italia , in Milan, when he was only 18 years old. There he drew hundreds of comic strips, as well as magazine covers, commercial illustrations and even participated in the making of short films and commercials. In 1997 he creates, with Elisabetta Gnone and Barbara Canepa, the universe of "W.I.T.C.H.", a project that is a worldwide success. W.I.T.C.H., the 4th most distributed magazine in the world in 2002 and published in 120 countries, is also declined in two animation series. In 2000 Barbucci starts to work specifically for the French-Belgian market with the science-fiction series "Sky Doll" (published by Soleil). He creates the universe and the scenario with Barbara Canepa. The 1st volume wins the prestigious Albert Uderzo Prize. Since 2013 he illustrates the great fantasy saga written by Arleston: "Ekhö Monde Miroir", published by Soleil, which is immediately a commercial success and wins many awards. With its volume 9, published in 2019, the series has already sold more than 300,000 albums. In March 2020, Barbucci publishes with Dupuis the first volume of his new youth series, "Les Sœurs Grémillet", a wonderful project for which he realizes the drawing, the colors, but also the scenario with Giovanni Di Gregorio.
