Frisano/Tribute to Hugo Pratt. Original drawing illustrating a military rider topped by African characters in tribute to "Ann of the Jungle". India ink and watercolor. Superb quality of execution of this artist of great talent. TBE+. Quality frame with protective glass included: 33 X 43 cm Thomas Frisano is a French painter and cartoonist born in 1963. He began by contributing to the covers of the magazine Strange made by his father Jean Frisano to the editions Lug. Then he progressively realized covers for the other comic titles: Titans, Special Strange, Nova, Albums of the Spider, The Fantastic Four. Frisano's covers are linked to the emergence of Marvel Comics superheroes in France. He also drew Les 12 Travaux d'Art Cool, with Jean-Pierre Dionnet published by Albin Michel, and two volumes of Relations Publiques by Glénat in collaboration with Raymond Maric. His first story appeared in 1984 in Métal Aventure, a magazine of Humanoïdes Associés. Thomas was invited to the 2010 and 2011 editions of the Star Wars and Science Fiction Generation convention in Cusset.
