INDONESIA Dresser in molded and carved iron wood, the upper part presents two atlantes in retreat representing two Asian in traditional dress posing a knee on the ground supporting a tray of presentation underlined by an openwork decoration of birds and branches of bamboo and cherry tree. The lower part of the credenza features a compartment with openwork scrolls on a background of sinister pagoda landscapes, while the upper part is decorated with vine shoots, dragons and squirrels. The pediment depicts a boat with dragon heads framing a bamboo cartouche topped by a flaming medallion with a pictogram flanked by two koi carp in an openwork cloud surround. It rests on two supports representing two pensive Buddhists. The lower part opens with two drawers in the waist alternated with three mascarons, the handles decorated with blossoming lotus, underlined by two leaves decorated with Asian landscapes and animated scenes with buffalo punctuated with engaged columns decorated with plants and celestial dragons in recall on the sides.
