A LARGE LACQUER TRAY TABLE WITH CHRYSANTHEMUMS Japan, Meiji/Taisho period The wooden tray with beveled corners standing on four short curved legs. The top decorated in gold and silver hiramaki-e and nashiji against a black lacquer ground with sprays of chrysanthemum, the underside with nashiji. SIZE 14 x 38 x 54.5 cm Condition: With cracks and minor losses to the lacquer along the edges, otherwise good condition. Provenance: Hungarian private collection.
