Associated since 1904, they built the first "Bugatti" type 6 and 7. They were to build the first "Bugatti" types 6 and 7 (Hermès, Hermès-Simplex or Mathis-Hermès) until 1907. On 28 May 1922, the A.C.O. organised the 3rd Consumption Grand Prix on the Le Mans circuit. In the 1100 class, the Mathis cyclecar won with 2.378 litres/100km!
