We attach to the cane a letter from Mr Jean-Paul Clément, director of the association for the House of Chateaubriand. In which it is mentioned the loan of "what Anatole France called an insignificant relic: the cane of Chateaubriand", lent in 1987 by the Mayor of Versailles, Mr André Damien. Length : 94,5 cm.
