ARMY OF EGYPT c.1800 Reunion of 4 documents -MENOU] Copy of the Order of the General in Chief, inserted in the order of the day of the 20 Vendémiaire year 9. Printed piece of 5 p. in-folio signed Menou and Estève with order of the day in French and Arabic on the impositions of the Coptic, Syrian, Greek, Jewish and Frankish nations. - DAMAS, General of Division, Chief of the Staff of the Army of Egypt. Handwritten document signed 'Damas', Cairo the 8 Ventôse of the year 8. 1 p. in-folio in brown ink with printed header of the headquarters and red wax seal. Passport given to the merchant Vincent Honoré Reboul going to Alexandria to embark for France. - the Director of the Customs of Cairo. Autograph letter signed addressed to the citizen Vincent Honoré Reboul, 1p.in-folio with printed header of the Army of the East, Cairo 16 Messidor year 9. "I warn you citizen, that I appointed you to fill with me the place of deputy to the customs of Cairo which I have the direction, the death of the citizen Julie having made it vacant". Attached is a certificate from the Dépôt Général des réfugiés Égyptiens, Marseille January 15, 1825 1p. in-4 handwritten with printed letterhead signed by the paying officer in charge of the accounting. "The Sieur Reboul (Marius Joseph Esprit) was part of the deposit of the Egyptian Refugees [...] with a daily help of seventy-five centimes per day and a ration of bread, that by virtue of the ministerial decision dated April 16, 1815, he ceased to be part of the aforementioned deposit having reached his twentieth year, a measure to which the children of the refugees born in France are subject".
