BRONZE "COUPLE OF HUNTING DOGS" by Clovis-Edmond MASSON (1838-1913) Bronze with medal patina representing spaniels at rest Signed C Masson 19th century period H : 22.5 ; W : 38 cm MASSON is a French animal sculptor, student of Antoine-Louis Barye. He used plaster, wax and bronze as his materials. From 1867, he exhibited regularly at the Salon de Paris until 1881. The city of Nîmes has several sculptures by the artist in its municipal museum.
