Pet. in-8, (7) ff./8, 320 pp, (19) ff./20, woodcuts, title and last leaf missing, paper yellowed, many ff. browned, stains, wetness, cold-stamped sow's skin of the ep., portraits of Luther and Melanchton on the boards, clasps missing, binding a little rubbed, corners dull. VD B4299. Translation of Erasmus preceded by the ''Paraclesis id est adhortatio ad christianae philosophiae studium.'' At the end the ''Arguments'' of the different books composed in verse by Rudolph Walther have been put together. Illustrated with about 90 woodcuts after Heinrich Vogtherr the Elder.
