It contains an interesting treatise on coffee, adorned with a beautiful woodcut depicting a branch and beans of coffee (called "Bon"), drawn from ancient and various sources; remarks on tea, taken from l'Ambassade des provinces unies vers l'Empereur de Chine (Leiden, 1675), du Voyage de l'êvesque de Bérite dans la Cochinchine, and other sources; and René Moreau's French translation of Discours curieux sur le Chocolate by the physician Antoine Colmenerio de Ledesman. Marginal staining to first few leaves. Stains and some foxing.
