In-12, marbled calf, triple fillet, arms in the center, spine decorated, arms, cross and lion, alternating between the nerves, red title page, red edges (Binding of the period). xxxv pp, (1) p., 525 pp, (5) pp. First edition of this treatise written by the "regent of the faculty of medicine of Paris & royal censor", who was the friend and doctor of Jean-Jacques Rousseau in Ermenonville. He died in 1807. This collection contains various chapters on drinking (water, wine, beer), food (bread, meat, fish, fruit, eggs, game, mushrooms), and advice on the quantity and quality of meals. An article on the dangers of mushrooms occupies the supplement. Copy with the arms of the Duchess of Montmorency-Luxembourg, Marie-Angélique de Neufville de Villeroy (1707-1787). She had been the wife of the duke of Boufflers before becoming the wife of the marshal of Montmorency-Luxembourg. It was she who welcomed Jean-Jacques Rousseau to Montmorency (Olivier, pl. 828).
