First published in 1783, it contributed to the success of asparagus on the tables of the 18th century. Filassier (1745-1799) was an agronomist and grew asparagus himself in the Clamart nursery that he directed. Discreet foxing. Spine slightly faded. Oberlé, Fastes, 696 (1788).
