This new and quasi-scientific approach to cocoa defends the hygienic virtues of chocolate sold by the famous Debauve & Gallais company, founded in 1800 by the pharmacists Sulpice Debauve and his nephew Auguste Gallais. It is illustrated with a folding map of Central America (cut in two, not missing) and 2 plates, one of them folding. Two stamps on the title page and on the back.
