Three polychrome printed pilgrimage certificates, Arabia and Egypt, 20th century Proxy certificates/Hujja badel 'an al-ghayr, - the first two illustrated with the Ka'aba, the Rawdha and Al-Aqsa surrounded by twenty-two medallions representing the different stages of the pilgrimage on the second. 47 x 66.5 cm and 39.2 x 51.8 cm, some tears, stains and folds; - the third depicting the Ka'aba surrounded by the minbar, the stone of Isma'il, the maqam of Abraham. At the bottom, six cartouches decorated with mosques show the six stages of pilgrimage; in the background, on the Heights, the modern constructions of the city. 27.5 x 39.5 cm, significant wetness, folding, small tears.
