3 works, with mailings and DRAWINGS for Jean MARAIS. Poetry 1916-1923 ** Poetry. Vocabulaire. Plain Chant (Paris, Librairie Gallimard, 1925) : in-8, paperback (small stains on the cover). Collective edition on publisher's paper. Autograph letter with drawing to Jean MARAIS. Full page drawing on the false title, in black grease pencil, representing a face in profile with the inscription in a cartouche: "Jean au très Pur". Letter to Jacques Maritain (Paris, Librairie Stock, Delamain et Boutelleau, 1926); in-12, paperback (cover detached, breaks on the back). First edition on publisher's paper. Copy decorated with two original drawings by Cocteau, with an autograph letter signed to Jean MARAIS. The first drawing, on the upper cover, represents a face in profile, in pen and blue pencil. The second one, in graphite on the false title, on the right edge and all the height of the page, represents a knight's profile, with the sending: "to my dear Jeannot Jean". Le Potomak 1913-1914 preceded by a Prospectus 1916 (Paris, Librairie Stock, Delamain et Boutelleau, 1931); in-12, paperback, mention of "eleventh edition, definitive text" on the cover (cover detached). Copy of Jean MARAIS decorated with an original full-page drawing by Jean Cocteau in black pencil on the title page, representing two young male faces with star-shaped hair. Attached : - Opera. OEuvres poétiques 1925- 1927 (Paris, Librairie Stock, 1927); in-12, paperback, uncut, cover illustrated in colors by Christian BÉRARD; in a hardback folder by Claude-François Labarre. First edition, one of the 28 first copies on imperial paper of Japan (n° 9). Plus a set of proofs (6 quires of which the 5th is missing here), with a stamp of the printing house F. Paillart dated May 13, 1927. - Le Mystère laïc. Essai d'étude indirecte (Giorgio de Chirico), with five drawings by Giorgio de CHIRICO (Paris, Éditions des Quatre Chemins, [1928]; in-8 square, paperback, gray-blue filled cover printed in red and black. First edition, one of the 2875 copies on Rives paper (n° 697), with 5 full-page and out-of-text black illustrations by Giorgio de CHIRICO. Signed autograph letter with drawing on the title page: "To Jacquot Noël 1932 Jean" [this is probably the filmmaker Jacques MANUEL (1897-1968)]. Beautiful original pen and ink drawing with brown wash, representing a profile of a young man.
