width 33 cm; weight g 55 19th cent.2 The handle consists of a smooth, tapered blank to which is applied a silver wire Star of David at the top and a relief grape cluster at the bottom. At the top it has a sphere pierced at the top and terminating in a small sculpture of a rampant lion. In the center is an apple pierced at the top. There is a hard red stone set between the Star of David and the openwork apple. The finial is decorated with a clenched fist hand and index finger embellished with a red hardstone ring.
