Description
[ALMANACH]. Calendar of the court, taken from the ephemeris, for the year one thousand seven hundred and eighty-six. Paris : Veuve Hérissant, 1786. - In-24, red morocco, gilt plate and design of a dog accompanied by various hunting attributes in the center on the boards, smooth spine decorated, gilt edges (period binding). Copy in a binding decorated with a rare plate comprising scrolls forming compartments bordered with dots, lines, scrolls and gilt foliage motifs. In the center is an iron representing a dog with hunting attributes. The listels forming the compartments have been painted later in turquoise. This addition was certainly made in the 20th century. Dark marks on the bottom of the first cover.
