Paris : Didot, 1738. - In-12, red morocco, triple gilt fillet in frame, gilt fleur-de-lys in the corners and gilt arms in the center of the boards, spine decorated with gilt fleurs-de-lys, gilt border inside, gilt edges (period binding). First edition dedicated to king Louis XV. It is illustrated with two plates, one of which is a folding one representing the battle of Zama. COPY IN MOROCCO WITH THE ARMS OF LOUIS XV. Crack at the hinge of the first plate, formerly restored. Some foxing.
