Fournier aîné, Furne et Cie, 1838. - 2 volumes in-8, orange half-maroquin with corners, gilt filets, smooth spine decorated, gilt head, not trimmed (Bretault). One of the most beautiful books illustrated by Grandville, containing, in the first edition, a frontispiece printed on China paper, four frontispiece titles and 450 woodcut vignettes in the text or on full page. The edition begins with a long note on Swift by Walter Scott. A very fine copy bound by Bretault, with good margins. Tears without missing restored to the frontispiece. Scattered foxing. Provenance: Maurice Guibert, with ex-libris drawn by Toulouse-Lautrec. - Jacques Renout (1903-1972), French-Brazilian bibliophile, with bookplate drawn by the painter Tancrède Synave.
