Very rare clandestine edition of one of the major books of German erotic literature, adapted by Guillaume Apollinaire and Blaise Cendrars. Two editions were published in 1913, one in the collection of the "Masters of Love" and the other one, this one, in a clandestine way under the false date of 1911. It is illustrated in frontispiece with a presumed portrait of Wilhelmine Schrœder-Devrient, reproduced on coated paper. Cover soiled. Some foxing to the first and last leaves.
