CRATÈRE - Art grec, Apulie, IVe s. Av. J.-C.
Bell-shaped krater with red figures whose face A is decorated with a scene with a satyr holding a tympanon and an ephebe holding a thyrse under a frieze of olive leaves. The B side is decorated with two ephebes in conversation, draped in their himation. Orange-beige clay with black glaze and white paint highlights. Old restorations are visible, otherwise beautiful conservation. The inside of the foot has been filled in with plaster.
