"1989 BMW R80RT CAFE RACER Serial number: 6485095 Very nice Cafe Racer Important restoration file Painted with the effigy of Gulf French title The BMW R80RT is a motorcycle manufactured by the German manufacturer BMW, with a two-cylinder four-stroke boxer engine with a displacement of 797 cm³. It is a rare fact in the world of motorcycles that the transmission is done by a shaft and not by a chain. It was produced between 1982 and 1995 at a total of 29 384 pieces. Being a touring motorcycle (RT for touring), it was equipped with a large fairing complete with a large windscreen. The 37 kW (50 hp) engine came from the BMW R 80/7. The example we offer is a Cafe Racer version of the BMW R80RT. It is in excellent condition as evidenced by the impressive file of invoices made on the bike to restore and transform it. The bike is painted with Gulf paint (orange and blue) and retains the BMW logo on the tank. The exhaust lines give it an aggressive look. The frame of the bike is painted in black and shows some rubbing marks but it has not suffered any shock. The taps are open...the key is turned...the starter is fired...and the noise will make you shake.
