1967 FORD MUSTANG 289 CABRIOLET

"1967 FORD MUSTANG 289 CONVERTIBLE Serial number: 7R03C123291 Desirable convertible version In near new condition 58 years of loyal service, illustrated in endurance, rally, hill climb and even NASCAR, the Mustang has not finished making us dream. While Ford was going through a difficult period, a certain Lee Iacocca, then an executive at the American giant, proposed a sports car concept that would shake up the automotive world. The idea was to design a car with character, affordable budget and which should seduce the youth of the 60s. The first Mustangs left the factory in 1964. A commercial success from the start, this car was first offered as a convertible and a coupe, then joined by the Fastback body from 1965. What can be said about this American car is that despite the 470,000 examples produced in 1967 alone, none of them are alike. Indeed, everything could be modified on this car, from the paint to the interior trim, including the rims, the engines and the gearboxes. Six cylinders in line, V8 small block, V8 big block, manual gearbox, automatic gearbox, everything was possible. Becoming one of the myths of a whole nation, the Ford Mustang will also be transformed by ace mechanics: Shelby or Shinoda to name a few. Today, the Mustang is a must-have among classic cars and still inspires as much love and admiration from enthusiasts as from aficionados. The example we present to you is a 1967 convertible, easily recognizable thanks to its curved rear. In an exceptional general condition, this beautiful Mustang arrived from the USA in the years 2000. Originally yellow, it has been repainted in red during its complete restoration. Matched with a black leather interior, it looks like it came from a Ford dealership. The paint is spotless and the owner has fitted some parts of the body with clear plastic protections to avoid door hits and other gravel projections. The soft top is also in near new condition with no scratches or holes. The interior, also redone, will make you feel like the first owner. The seats are spotless, the floor mats are also spotless. The interior also comes with many options like the center console and the cigarette lighter. The dashboard is not cracked and all the gauges and other dials work without a problem. Under the hood, you can't miss the magnificent 289 C-code V8 (4.7L). With 200 horsepower, it purrs beautifully. Also refurbished, we note the presence of Edelbrock cylinder heads and intake pipe. Everything is chrome plated and sparkling. Many Edelbrock Performer parts have also been mounted on it. This car comes with a file of invoices attesting to the regular maintenance and modifications it has undergone. Mixing class, distinction and sportiness, the Ford Mustang is one of the most cult models in the automobile. This car, in radiant condition, is a real time machine, where everything happened at the stoplight, with the right foot ready to mash the accelerator pedal. Alone or with the family, this convertible will blow you away!
