1972 RENAULT 16 TSA Serial number : 7063142 Rare automatic gearbox First hand 21 000 km of origin Original booklets French title The Renault 16 is a car produced from 1965 to 1980 at more than 1,8 million copies by the manufacturer with the diamond. It was a dazzling commercial success for the brand. It was presented to the public for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1965 and, the following year, it won the European Car of the Year award. In its TS version, it is powered by a 1565cm3 83hp engine, with a hemispherical cylinder head and a double-barrel carburetor. It features two additional long-range headlights, new rims and reversing lights (optional for 1968 models and standard for 1969 models). The dashboard with round dials is enriched with a rev counter and, for 1970 models, a watch. The optional electric front windows appear for the first time on a French car. Registered for the first time in October 1972, the car is presented in an excellent aesthetic condition. The bodywork is free of rust and chips. The blue paint is also in beautiful condition, completely redone in 2022 in its original color to regain all its shine. The bumpers are not sunken and the chrome covering them is sparkling. The four yellow lights at the front give it a certain rally car look. Inside, the car's upholstery has no holes or scratches. The dashboard is not cracked. Under the hood, the engine starts without any problem. Pampered by its one and only owner, many options were installed by Renault at the time such as the Blaupunkt car radio, the electric antenna, the two-tone horn, the manually unlocked fan. Clearly, this car is ready to hit the road with its future owner.
