Watch in gilded metal and rock crystal, spiral pre-balance, cross-shaped Hinged case finely chiseled on the edges, cover and back in rock crystal, safety catch to rotate the main body of the watch to see the movement. Silvered dial with engraved motifs (two swords, the lantern, the tunic, the whip, the ear and the purse of Judas), Roman numerals, fully engraved with floral and foliage motifs around the perimeter, the passion of Christ and the Calvary with the Virgin, in the lower part, on either side, a ladder, the spear, the pincers and the hammer, the Holy Grail, the ear of wheat, a rooster and nails in the upper part Mechanical movement with key winding, spiral pre-balance, chased and pierced cock, spindle and hose, escapement with verge, worm, signature on the plate "Bergier Paris". Size 37.5 x 52 mm Gross weight. 53,6 gr Bergier, Paris is cited in H. Baillie, Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World, p. 24, c. 1650 with the mention of a watch in the Blot-Garnier collection. This collection appears in the annals of major auctions at the Hôtel Drouot in Paris, 18-23 December 1916.
